No — you can't pay to move a grade. Pass and fail cost the same, and the engine never sees payment. A brand can pay for an audit or to license a seal (and that relationship is disclosed on its page), but that buys a true result, not a better one — like a lab test, not an ad.
We don't make our own product — that would destroy the only thing this app is for. We license the A-Graded seal to a manufacturer who makes and owns the jar, and we grade it on the exact same public engine as everything else. You can't pay to move the grade: it's computed from the open rubric, the seal is only issued behind an independent lab report, and the license relationship is disclosed on the product's page. Re-run the rubric on the ingredient list yourself and you get the same letter.
Your scan stays on your device unless you choose to share a result card. We don't sell your face.
